Donald D. Brainerd, 59, of Dixon, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He was employed at Dixonweb Printing Company in Dixon.

Don was born November 6, 1940, in Dixon to Donald Robert and Carrie Jane (O'Hara) Brainerd. He married Francisco Guerra on June 17, 1995, in Sterling.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the Dixon Moose Lodge #727.

Don was preceded in death by his father and one nephew, Rodney Sweet.

Survivors include two sons, John (Karen) Brainerd of Rockford and Jeffrey Brainerd of Dixon; three daughters, Julie (John) Berhow, Janice (Tim) Madding, and Joyce Brainerd, all of Dixon; his mother of Dixon; one sister, Carol (Barry) Henderson of Dixon; one half sister, Donna Black of Oreanna; and four step-grandchildren.
