Bonnie Beth (Klatt) Freeman
(July 22, 1940 - April 14, 2006)

Residing in Overland Park, Kansas, Bonnie Beth Freeman, 65, died on Friday, April 14, 2006. She set a good example of a strong Christian as she fought her final battle with cancer. She taugh special education in Milwaukee, then in Overland Park, Kansas, for many years.

Bonnie was born July 22, 1940, in Freeport, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Kline) Klatt and lived most of her childhood in Dixon. After high school, Bonnie attended Rockford Memorial School of Nursing and received a degree in special education from Illinois State University. She married David Freeman (DHS Class of 1956) in 1961.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Collin (Joy) Freeman of Shawnee, Kansas; a daughter, Kimberly (Tim) Conard of Ottawa, Kansas; a sister, Virginia (Roger) Buckaloo of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Ilse and Winnie Conard; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and an uncle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
